Why we collect: Print Lovers Roundtable

Panel includes: Bill Busta, Susan Trilling, Paula Mindes, Tom Calhoun, Jack Lissauer, and will be moderated by Noel Reifel. Saturday, February 4th from 1-2:30 in Zygote's gallery. Come and hear several print enthusiasts with Cleveland connections talk about the evolution of their own collections.

 

Printmaking's Insider Secrets

Tips from Karen Beckwith, Tamarind-trained Master Printer. February 4th from 2:30-3:30 (directly following panel discussion.) This demo-style workshop uncovers the tips of a master printer. Karen will talk about the relationship between printer and artist and demonstrate in detail the considerations collectors should be knowledgeable about when examining prints based on techniques, edition-size and craft. This is designed for new converts to printmaking and the seasoned print-pros. Karen introduces an insider's view–showing helpful identifiers and clues to making, understanding and collecting the best quality prints. Learn about contract printing, the collaborative printer-artist relationship and printing-proofing processes that are useful when making editions.
